A Medieval Marriage
The 16th of May 2009, became the 16th May 1503 for some of the All Out Catering staff recently when they were involved in the Medieval Themed Wedding of Dan Moriarty & Madeline Nelson.
The couple are costumed performers in the Fire and Sword historical re-enactment group, and chose to tie the knot dressed in Medieval fashions – including full armour for Dan – at a ceremony near their home, in Montgreenan, Kilwinning.
Just a week later Dan will be strapping on his armour once again and mounting his horse Megan, to ride down Linlithgow High Street at the head of a royal cavalcade.
His bride will be there too, mounted on a steed named Boston, showing the public how a 16th-century noblewoman would ride side saddle.
All Out Catering offered the costume dressed guests of the Medieval Themed Wedding a selection of Rustic Homemade Pies and Half Spit Roast Chickens for lunch, followed by a Full Spit Roast Hog for the evening feast (minus its head which they used as a display).
All Out Catering wish Dan & Maddie all the best in their future together!
